Ryan new from an early age knew that Physiotherapy was the career for him following the treatment of numerous niggling injuries when he was younger running for English Schools and playing football at Scunthorpe United. Studying physiotherapy at the University of Birmingham, he too began his Physiotherapy career in the Premier League with Birmingham City Football Club. Ryan continues to play semi-professional football in his spare time.

Ryan is a member of  The Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health and Ergonomics (ACPOHE).
